[excerpt below]

Swollen tongue;
make use of every space,
don't waste material laid upon flat surfaces.
hard wood withstands critical speech.
weak wrists give in to crushed hard wood.

in all our time not documented we will
not know trial and error.
we may not know,

looking at her reflection she wonders;
'history will not exist with nothing to look back on'.

a baby.
a grandmother.
a rapist.
a preacher.

who you want to be is not who you are.
who you were is not who you are nor who you want to be,
you, are you, you are. you, are you,
you are who?

there is something wasteful about
words describing objects that are a waste.
with that, I’ll just stop myself and this pen on this space.
